Myra is not the name server.

Note

The automatic creation using a CNAME entry on your own name server only works if the relevant domains and subdomains were created after activating Myra Certificate Management.

If you order the Myra Certificate Management product at a later date, please submit a ticket to the Myra Support for SSL/TLS certificate creation.

If Myra is not the name server, but you are the name server yourself, the corresponding CNAMEs must still be stored in your name server for the SSL/TLS certificates to be created correctly.

Proceed as follows to create a CNAME for using Myra Certificate Management:

  • ► Copy the address of the domain or subdomain.

  • ► Replace the following characters:

    • - with --

    • . with -

  • ► Set up the CNAME according to the following scheme:

    Sub subdomains

Create the CNAME as follows: Add a DNS record for the domain or subdomain (see Section Add DNS Records). Add another DNS record for the domain or subdomain with the following values. Type: TXT Name: CNAME _acme-challenge.www.test.an-spiel.de POINTS TO _acme--challenge-www-test-an--spiel-de.ax4z.com Value: XXX The value of the field Value must contain a dummy entry, as this has no effect. Reload the Myra App page. Click on the icon_info icon. The Information dialog opens. Copy the CNAME contained there. Use the CNAME to create a corresponding DNS entry on your name server. Once the entry has been created, an SSL/TLS certificate is generated within a few minutes and made available in the Myra App.

  • ► Create a DNS entry in your name server using the generated CNAME.

  • ► Check whether the SSL/TLS certificates are also shown in the SSL/TLS Certificate Management view, see Section SSL/TLS Certificate Management.

    If no SSL/TLS certificate has been created

    There is no SSL/TLS certificate for your domain or subdomains in the SSL/TLS Certificate Management view.

    Check the following steps:

    • ▷ Please wait a moment and check the SSL/TLS certificates later again.
    • ▷ Check whether the ACME challenges have been generated and created correctly, see .

    When an SSL/TLS certificate has been created.

    A blue box containing information about the SSL/TLS certificate will be visible (see Section SSL/TLS Certificate Management).
