Connection tab

The Connection tab contains configuration options that regulate the connection between the customer infrastructure and Myra, as well as between Myra and the user.

The following settings are available:

Name Definition
Source protocol Defines whether HTTP or HTTPS should be used as the protocol for redirecting requests from Myra to the customer infrastructure. Both HTTP and HTTPS are used when the value Same is used.NoteSince SSL/TLS terminates at Myra for detecting attacks on port 443, it is possible to redirect requests without additional SSL/TLS overhead on the customer infrastructure.NoteFor some websites, automatic redirection to HTTPS occurs when navigating to protected areas, which can cause what are known as redirect loops with a fixed source protocol. In this case, select Same.Default value: Same
HTTP/2 Enables or disables the HTTP/2 protocol. With HTTP/2, you achieve performance improvements, particularly by transmitting multiple resources on one connection using multiplexing.
Default value: On
Request limit level Defines the maximum RPT (Requests per Timeframe) value for requests per minute that can be made from an IP address. If this value is exceeded, the IP address will be blocked for 24 hours or prompted to solve a CAPTCHA.
Default value: 6,000 rpt
Loadbalancing method Defines the load balancing distribution method when multiple IP addresses are assigned to the subdomain.
The following values are available:
  • Round Robin: The requests are alternately distributed across all active upstreams, one after the other.
  • IP-Hash: The requests from the client IP address are always directed to the same upstream server.
  • Least-Conn: The requests are directed to the upstream server that currently has the fewest connections.
  • Cookie-Based: The requests are always directed to the same upstream server if the client already has a valid cookie from a previous request.
Default value: Round Robin
HTTPS only Enables or disables pure HTTPS communication between the user, Myra, and infrastructure of the customer, regardless of whether the request was made using HTTP.
Default value: Off
Max upload file size in MB Defines the maximum request body in megabytes. Clients can upload files with the defined maximum upload size.
Default value: 10 MB
X-Forwarded-For header Enables or disables the X Forwarded For Header for transmitting the IP address of the customer.
Default value: On
X-Forwarded-For header replacement Defines an X Forwarded For Header name that can be set to identify individual users using a tracking tool. This option renames the X Forwarded For Header, for example, to the requesting IP address of the user.
Default value: Not available
IPv6 Enables or disables the use of IPv6 connectivity between the user, Myra, and the infrastructure of the customer.NoteIPv6 connections are no longer possible if IPv6 connectivity is disabled.Default value: On
HTTPS origin port Defines the port for HTTPS communication to your infrastructure.
Default value:443
HTTP origin port Defines the port for HTTP communication to your infrastructure.
Default value: 80
IP Lock Enables or disables the behaviour that the shown IP address from Myra is changed after a new SSL/TLS certificate.NoteIf this setting is enabled, changing the IP address after updating the SSL/TLS certificate is prevented. Enable this function for new domains after uploading a certificate for the first time, otherwise the IP address may change and no SSL/TLS connections can be established.NoteThe IP lock setting can only be made in the parent domain settings. Once this setting is enabled, it affects all subdomains.Default value: On
