Set up Myra protection

Note

If you manually store an SSL/TLS certificate for an encrypted connection between the visitor to Myra and between Myra and your infrastructure without using Myra Certificate Management, the SSL/TLS certificate must be uploaded before traffic is redirected to Myra. Otherwise, your website will be temporarily unavailable.

Note

If you manually upload an SSL/TLS certificate in the Myra app, you must also upload a certificate to your infrastructure. Otherwise, encrypted communication between Myra and your infrastructure will not work.

Note

If you have booked Myra Certificate Management, please note the following points:

  • If Myra is the name server, an SSL/TLS certificate will only be provided after a nameserver entry for Myra has been created on your provider.
  • If you are the name server, then a valid ACME challenge must be created on your provider in order to provide the SSL/TLS certificate.

For further information, see Section Myra Certificate Management.

The cloud-based Application DDoS Protection hides and secures customers' websites, portals, and interfaces behind a specially developed filter system. This makes it impossible for attackers to identify the servers on which the applications are running. Malicious traffic streams are blocked by multiple filter layers. Valid requests continue to reach the customer's infrastructure as usual via a redundant HTTP/S reverse proxy.

Before your websites are protected by Myra and you can use all the features and settings of the Myra App, the following steps must be completed:

  • Add a New Domain
  • Add DNS entry for the domain
  • Redirecting Traffic to Myra
  • Upload SSL/TLS certificate
  • Enable Myra protection in DNS entries

The following requirements must be met:

  • Select at least one domain for which you want to protect the entire domain or only specific subdomains.
  • Specify at least one subdomain that you want to add as part of the domain.
  • If you have not subscribed to Myra SSL/TLS Management, provide a valid SSL/TLS certificate.
  • Specify whether Myra or you will be the nameserver in the future.
