Add group

Note

To add a group, you need root group admin rights or subgroup admin rights for the group under which the new group is to be created.

Note

Groups can only be created under the main group to which they are assigned.

Proceed as follows to add a new group:

• ► Open the Group Management view, see Section Group Management.
• ► From the list of groups, select the group under which you want to add the new group.
• ► Click on the + icon.
• ↳ The Create group dialog opens.

Create a dialog group

• ► In the text field next to Name of the group enter the name of the group.
• ► Click on the OK button.
• ➔ The Create group dialog closes and the new group appears in the list of groups.

After adding a new group, you can add users to that group (see Section Add users to a group) or configure the group's permissions (see Section Edit a group's permissions).
