Definition of the name server

Traffic must be redirected to Myra's servers to protect your infrastructure.

You have two options for redirecting traffic to Myra:

  • Set Myra as the authoritative nameserver with your provider

DNS queries for your domain are answered directly by Myra. Myra forwards the traffic to your customer infrastructure and can serve requests from the cache before they reach your server. Additionally, your DNS itself is protected by Myra. Recommended for maximum protection and full functionality. You can find the list of Myra name servers in the Myra App in the Domains view in the Your new name servers information box.

  • Use your own name server

Your DNS remains with your current provider. You simply add a CNAME record there that points to Myra. Traffic will continue to be routed through Myra—but you retain full control over your DNS settings. Some features (for example, root domain protection) may not be available in this configuration.

Depending on which option you choose, follow the corresponding steps below.
