Myra provides a globally distributed network that operates transparently between the user’s browser and your web server. The global infrastructure enables reliable and rapid delivery of your web application. Myra protects your infrastructure from external attacks such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks. Myra delivers your web application with enhanced performance through smart content optimization and adaptive caching. This enables you to achieve both maximum security and speed. The service is set up in such a way that it does not affect your existing infrastructure.

How Layer 7 protection works

Myra’s protection and performance solutions are positioned between your existing infrastructure and your users. The only prerequisite for this is creating DNS records that point to Myra’s DNS servers and uploading an SSL/TLS certificate to the Myra App.

Unlike appliance or other hardware solutions, Myra operates directly at the backbone level upstream of your web server. So you don’t need to make any changes to your existing infrastructure. Attacks are therefore mitigated well upstream of your own infrastructure and never jeopardize your network or connectivity.

Myra’s concept provides compatibility with all common shopping systems and content management systems (CMSs). The HTTP, HTTPS, HTTP/2, DNS, IMAP, and SMTP protocols are supported at present. A separate setup is required to protect email systems. Translation between IPv4 and IPv6 is provided automatically. Myra gives web servers that are currently only connected over IPv4 full IPv6 connectivity.
