Activating WAF rule

Once there are no more false positive entries in the access logs, you can activate the WAF rule completely to block malicious requests.

Proceed as follows to fully activate a WAF rule:

  • ► Select the WAF Tag you want to edit.
  • ► Select the WAF rule you want to edit.
  • ► Activate the Process next rule checkbox under OPTIONS.
  • ► Delete the action Log under the Actions area.

  • ► Click on the Add Action button to add one of the following actions:

    • CAPTCHA: If the WAF rule applies, a CAPTCHA is issued.
    • BLOCK: If the WAF rule applies, the request is blocked.

  • ► Click on the Save button.

  • ➔ The WAF rule for tag <Tag name> view opens and the WAF rules protecting your web application.

Repeat this process for each WAF rule that has been set to Log for testing the WAF rule.
